An Examination Of Mediating Effect of Job Satisfaction in The Relationship Between Motivation and Employee Performance (Case in BKD Padang)

Abstract

The aim of current research is to evaluate the effect of job satisfaction as mediating variable with the relationship between motivation and performance of employee. The samples was drawn from employees’ BKD Padang by considering performance, job satisfaction and motivation attribute, in which the number of samples are 64 respondents participated in the study. The findings concluded that motivation has significant effect on job satisfaction, There is a positive impact of job satisfaction on employee performance, motivation has a significant effect on employee performance, and job satisfaction doesn’t has a significant effect as mediating in the relationship between motivation and performance. Implications of the study also discussed.
