An Examination Of Mediating Effect Of Job Satisfaction In The Relationship Between Organizational Culture And Organizational Commitment (Case Of Local Government Employees In Solok Regency)

The aim of the current research is to investigate the impact of organizational culture and its dimensions on the commitment of employee with job satisfaction as mediating variable. The samples were drawn from permanent civil servant who works for local government organization in Solok Regency. The samples involved in this study are 200 respondents. The data analyzed by using PASW Statistic version 18 software. The findings concluded that organizational culture has significant impact on job satisfaction, the dimension of organizational culture; bureaucratic, and supportive has significant impact on job satisfaction meanwhile the innovative dimension does not have significant impact on job satisfaction. The findings also noted that job satisfaction has significant impact on organizational commitment. Organizational culture and the entire dimension have significant impact on organizational commitment and the result also indicates that job satisfaction partially mediating the relationship between organizational culture and organizational commitment. Implication and recommendation for further research also discussed in this research.
